Constitution Hill, Sydney.

Summary.

A passionate project, including a renovation and extension, developed with the owner to transform an existing house into a welcoming entertainers haven. Designed with a growing family’s needs in mind but keeping to the modern lifestyle of a dynamic Sydney couple. SORTED. Renovated the existing house adding a new ensuite as well as freshly renovated bathroom. We added an expansive extension with high pitched ceilings, an entertainers kitchen complete with a butlers pantry and a great outside alfresco area.

Outcome and Features.

Prior to our renovation, the home and Constitution Hill had a small feel. SORTED was given the opportunity to totally renovate the existing home, moving walls and doors, adding a new bathroom and en-suite, joinery, doors, skiting and architraves and finishing the existing cypress pine floor boards in a satin stain finish.

At the rear of property, we added an expansive extension with raked ceilings that reached 3.6m high internally capped with highlight windows custom built on sight by SORTED.

The windows were designed by SORTED with the client to light the kitchen with the afternoon sun. Within the extension we added a new kitchen, from JK Custom Joinery, Butlers pantry, a new laundry hidden cleverly in concealed joinery and an expansive alfresco entertaining area.

The ceiling line was continued from inside to outside and finished with a shadow lined ply wood ceiling.
